Shipyard History:

In 1967, the Palumbo Group set sail into the world of commercial shipbuilding and repair. In 2008, it embarked on a new voyage, entering the luxury yacht market with the birth of the Columbus Yachts superyacht brand. Columbus Yachts is now an integral part of the Palumbo Superyachts division, alongside ISA Yachts, Mondomarine, and Extra Yachts. Palumbo Superyachts spans three new build and refit facilities in Naples, Ancona, and Savona, offering a comprehensive selection of yacht sizes from 24m to a magnificent 120m. The year 2013 marked a significant milestone with the launch of the Columbus 40S Hybrid, later known as Leudin I, the first Columbus Yacht from the Italian shipyard. Since then, Columbus Yachts has completed six exquisite vessels, including the impressive 80m Dragon launched in 2019. The shipyard takes pride in offering a wide range of models, encompassing sport, tri-deck, and explorer yacht options.

Notable Deliveries and Models:

Columbus Yachts' delivery portfolio is growing, with six units successfully completed between 2013 and 2019. Noteworthy projects include the 80m Dragon, 56m Taiba, 54m Armada (formerly Prima), 49m K2, and the 40m yachts Mrs. D (formerly Katia) and Leudin I (formerly Eleonora III). The shipyard is actively expanding its fleet, with models ranging from 40m to 80m, encompassing the Sport, Classic, Atlantique, and Crossover series. The Crossover range caters to explorers, while the Atlantique series marries elegance with impressive range capacity, adhering to their "Architecture for Voyagers" philosophy.

Shipyard Specialty:

Columbus Yachts specializes in the construction of bespoke projects, spanning from 37m to 120m in its Naples, Ancona, and Savona shipyards. Additionally, the shipyard provides comprehensive maintenance and refit services. The current yacht model selection comprises monohulls featuring semi-displacement and full-displacement configurations in both steel and aluminum hulls. Columbus Yachts takes customization to heart, allowing clients to personalize the interior of their yachts to suit their unique tastes and lifestyles.

Design Collaborations:

Since the inception of the Columbus Yachts brand, Hydro Tec, the Italian naval architecture, and design studio, has been a pivotal collaborator, overseeing engineering and exterior design. This collaboration has borne fruit in the form of the Columbus Sport line, the Classic and Crossover ranges, and the 50m motor yacht K2, designed by the renowned Luca Dini.

Columbus Yachts' Italian facilities are currently working on semi-custom projects slated for delivery in 2023 and 2024. Two 40m Columbus Crossovers, designed with interiors by Francesco Guida Design, are part of this exciting roster. Meanwhile, the Ancona yard is constructing the 50m full-custom Project Lady, featuring exterior and interior lines crafted by Marco Casali Too Design. The Columbus Atlantique range sees the creative touch of Hot Lab Studio, with three units currently in production.
