His love for sailing began even before birth — as his mother sailed Holland’s lakes while pregnant with him. Raised on the water, Marcus started in small boats, competed in regattas across Europe, and quickly developed a deep passion for the sport and lifestyle of yachting.

That same drive and competitive spirit shaped his journey into brokerage. He launched Swan Yacht Charters in 2009, followed by Ibiamare and RegattaCharters.Pro in 2014. In 2021, during the pandemic, he founded Marcus Yachting, relocating its headquarters from Ibiza to Dubai and expanding its global reach.

Today, Marcus blends deep industry expertise with a modern, AI-powered approach to yacht sales and marketing — creating systems that generate highly qualified leads and deliver exceptional transparency and value to clients.

He is especially known for curating bespoke yacht portfolios for UHNW individuals, advising on superyachts, explorer yachts, and top-quality sailing yachts, as well as innovative hybrid propulsion projects.
