In homage to the agile mongoose, Mangusta Yachts was born with a mission to bring swift, open-concept superyachts to the world's discerning seafarers. Established in 1985 as part of the Overmarine Group, this quintessentially Italian brand remains under the Balducci family's dedicated stewardship. Today, Giuseppe Balducci's children, Maurizio and Katia, play pivotal roles in this maritime enterprise. The maiden creation that catapulted Mangusta into the spotlight was the Mangusta 80 Open, a 24-meter planing-hulled speedster powered by waterjets. It defied convention by blending speed with luxury, challenging the traditional notion that open vessels sacrificed comfort for performance. As the brand evolved, so did the size of its vessels, with over 90 of the 300 launched to date measuring over 100 feet.
