In the early 2000s, Heesen Yachts achieved widespread acclaim with the successful launch of the Heesen 3700 model, a swift 37-meter flybridge motor yacht constructed entirely of aluminum. Omega Architects, a prominent Dutch yacht design studio, was responsible for the exterior design, resulting in the delivery of ten units of this model.
Frank Laupman, the founder of Omega Architects, has lent his design expertise to numerous Heesen yacht projects over the past two decades. His most substantial undertaking to date is the 65-meter motor yacht Galactica Star, delivered in 2013. Other notable models designed by Omega Architects and constructed by Heesen include the Heesen 4700, Heesen 5000, Heesen 55M Steel Laurentia, Heesen 50M Aluminium FDHF Home, and more recently, Heesen 50M Steel Arkadia, Heesen 5000 Aluminum Aquamarine, and Heesen 5700 Aluminum Akira.
