YACHT CHARTERS & BROKERAGE
Baglietto, a renowned Italian shipyard, boasts a rich heritage dating back to 1854 when it was founded by Pietro Baglietto. Initially crafting dinghies in his backyard, the shipyard swiftly evolved into a builder of championship-winning sailing yachts. In 1906, it expanded its repertoire, constructing yachts for distinguished figures, including Pope Leo XIII. Today, Baglietto stands as a prestigious yacht builder with two prominent maritime facilities in Italy: one in La Spezia for yacht construction and another in Carrara dedicated to naval operations.
Baglietto has gained acclaim for its sleek and contemporary yacht designs, seamlessly merging luxury, modern aesthetics, and high-performance capabilities.
In 2012, Baglietto underwent a transformation when Gruppo Gavio acquired it, alongside the renowned yacht brand Cerri Cantieri Navali (CCN). This acquisition infused new investments into production tools and the creation of novel yacht models, further solidifying Baglietto's status as a global leader in custom yacht craftsmanship.
Baglietto's extensive portfolio comprises five distinct ranges: DOM, TLine, Fast, Superfast, and Custom Made. Recent additions to its semi-custom range include the DOM 40m Attitude, Superfast 42m Rush, and TLine 55m Severin’s. Among its full-custom deliveries are the 54m C and 40m Club M in 2020, 40m Panam in 2021, and 38m Enterprise in 2022.
The largest superyacht crafted by Baglietto to date is the 59m Vicky, delivered in 2009. Other notable yachts include the 47m Antelis, 46m Lucky Me, 44m Monokini, 41m Rock 13, and the exceptionally fast 34m Blue Princess Star. The 25m full-aluminum sport yacht Chato holds the distinction of being one of the fastest private yachts ever built, achieving a remarkable maximum speed of 57 knots. Baglietto's 34m and 44m Fast models also gained acclaim for their impressive speed capabilities.
Baglietto has earned a reputation for producing fast and elegant flybridge yachts during the 1960s and 1970s, employing the marine plywood technique. In the mid-1970s, the shipyard transitioned to crafting full aluminum motor yachts, establishing itself as a leader in producing speedy aluminum open-style and flybridge motor yachts. Baglietto's yachts are offered in semi-custom or full-custom configurations, meticulously designed with a strong emphasis on fulfilling the unique preferences of each owner. These yachts are celebrated for their contemporary styling, state-of-the-art technology, and modern design concepts.
Currently, Baglietto primarily focuses on manufacturing yachts within the 37m to 55m size range, offering both planing and full-displacement hull configurations. However, the shipyard possesses the capability to deliver larger displacement and tri-deck superyachts when required.
Baglietto's distinctive design identity took shape in the early 1990s through collaborations with Italian designers Aldo Chichero and Francesco Paszkowski. Francesco Paszkowski has played a pivotal role in shaping the aesthetics of half of Baglietto's yacht fleet. His first design project for Baglietto was the sport yacht Oceanis (formerly known as Opus), delivered in 1994. Paszkowski has been responsible for the exterior design of various Baglietto models, including the Baglietto 33m and 44m Fast series, the tri-deck series Baglietto 42m, and later, the T-Line 46/55m range.
Currently, Baglietto is actively engaged in construction projects at its La Spezia shipyard, with a focus on the 40m DOM 133 and 52m TLine models, respectively designed by Italian Studio Vafiadis and Francesco Paszkowski.
