Marcus Giltay

 

Marcus Giltay, CEO and Founder of www.marcusyachting.com, is a visionary entrepreneur deeply rooted in the world of yachting.

Marcus’ love for sailing began before he was born, as his mother navigated Holland’s lakes in a 16m² wooden sailing boat while pregnant with him. Growing up on the water, he started with a polyester pirate and later a Flying Junior, which he sold at just 14. Competing in countless regattas nationally and internationally, his passion for sailing blossomed into a lifelong pursuit. This competitive spirit now fuels his mission as a next-generation yacht broker to deliver exceptional service, value, and transparency, forging deep connections with clients and making their yachting dreams a reality.

Driven by a competitive spirit and a desire to innovate, Marcus launched Swan Yacht Charters in 2009, followed by Ibiamare and www.RegattaCharters.Pro in 2014. Amid the challenges of the pandemic, he founded Marcus Yachting in 2021, relocating its headquarters from Ibiza to Dubai and expanding its global footprint.
Marcus combines deep yachting knowledge with a sharp, modern approach to sales and marketing — powered by AI-enhanced SEO, and content systems that generate qualified leads daily.
He is particularly known for curating custom yacht portfolios for UHNW clients, advising on floating boutique hotels, explorer yachts, and hybrid propulsion projects.
A strong advocate for sustainability and design excellence, Marcus works closely with forward-thinking shipyards to bring eco‑conscious luxury to the next generation of yacht buyers.
His passion for storytelling and client service sets him apart — delivering not just yachts, but unique experiences tailored to a global elite.
