Marcus's introduction to sailing even before birth—while his mother was pregnant—symbolizes the deep, lifelong bond he has with the sea. Early exposure to water shaped his passion for sailing, seeing him progress through various boats in his youth, from a polyester pirate to an FJ (Flying Junior), which he sold at just 14. His love for sailing evolved into competitive racing across national and international regattas, laying a strong foundation for his future in the yachting world.
From his roots in Holland to becoming a dynamic yacht broker, Marcus’s journey reflects passion, resilience, and entrepreneurial spirit. He founded Swan Yacht Charters in 2009, followed by Ibiamare and RegattaCharters.Pro in 2014, eventually launching Marcus Yachting in 2021 amid the pandemic, moving its base from Ibiza to Dubai to expand globally. His commitment to service, value, and transparency sets him apart, as he leverages his sailing experience to expertly match clients with the perfect yachts, always driven by a competitive edge and a vision for excellence in global yacht brokerage.
