Benetti, a renowned luxury yacht brand established in 1873, stands as a prominent figure in the world of yachting. The dedicated team at Marcus yachting has been deeply involved in the sale and charter of numerous significant Benetti vessels. With shipyard facilities located in Viareggio and Livorno, Italy, Benetti specializes in crafting custom and semi-custom luxury yachts. Their unwavering commitment to quality construction and a stellar reputation has consistently placed them among the top-tier yacht builders globally, earning recognition for their yachts on a global scale.
In 1985, Benetti became part of the Azimut Group, under the ownership of Paolo Vitelli, forming the Azimut-Benetti Group. This union brought together two iconic Italian yacht brands into a singular powerhouse dedicated to the production of highly sought-after boats for both sale and charter. Benetti continues to maintain its popularity by regularly introducing new models to the market.
Thanks to their exceptional construction quality, spacious interiors, and ingenious design, Benetti yachts are a preferred choice in the brokerage market, with numerous Benetti vessels available for sale and charter through Marcus yachting.
Under the leadership of Paolo Vitelli, Benetti maintained its position as an industry leader, achieving remarkable volumes in terms of units delivered. In the early 2000s, they gained acclaim for smaller yacht models crafted from composite materials, including the Benetti Legend 85, Benetti Tradition 100, Benetti Classic 35 and 37, and the Benetti Vision 44. Concurrently, Benetti embarked on the construction of the 50-meter steel-hulled motor yacht Golden Bay series. While numerous full-custom Benetti yachts were constructed, three iconic Benetti superyachts have left a lasting mark: the 80-meter Kingdom 5KR (formerly owned by Donald Trump), the 70-meter Freedom (formerly Reverie), and the 65-meter Ambrosia. In recent years, the shipyard expanded into the 100-meter plus yacht segment with the deliveries of IJE, Luminosity, and Lana.
Benetti's extensive portfolio encompasses five distinct ranges, in addition to full-custom options. Their latest semi-custom models, spanning from 34 meters to 75 meters, feature both composite and steel hull construction and include the Motopanfilo 37 Kojo, B.Yond, Oasis, B.Now, and B.Century.
Benetti boasts an impressive shipbuilding capacity, utilizing composite, aluminum, and steel materials across three yard sites, covering a total area of over 300,000 square meters. They have the capability to construct yachts ranging from 34 meters to well over 100 meters. The shipyard's rich heritage is intertwined with forward-thinking innovation, while they steadfastly uphold values of experience, craftsmanship, and a profound passion for their craft. The "Benetti Quality System" ensures a meticulous construction process, incorporating numerous quality checks to produce high-caliber, award-winning pedigree yachts in the semi-custom and full-custom segments. Benetti collaborates closely with clients to bring their yacht visions to life, resulting in vessels that impeccably reflect their desires.
Following Benetti's acquisition by the Azimut Group, two prominent Italian designers have played pivotal roles in revitalizing and shaping the Benetti design ethos. Stefano Righini took charge of the shipyard's composite model range, including the new 37-meter B.Yond, while Stefano Natucci lent his expertise to the majority of the steel-hulled custom motor yachts. Recent years have witnessed Benetti engaging new international designers to create their latest models. Giorgio Casetta contributed to the exterior designs of Delfino 95 and Mediterraneo 116, as well as the Diamond 44 in the composite-built range. Casetta also collaborated on the B.Century range, culminating in the delivery of Calex. British design studio RWD partnered with Benetti on the exterior designs for the Oasis and B.Now series and was also entrusted with designing the 108-meter IJE, delivered in 2019. Dutch designer Cor D. Rover was selected for the 67-meter Seasense, completed in 2017. For the development of the Benetti Motopanfilo 37m, Italian designer Francesco Struglia was entrusted with crafting her exterior style.
