Rooted in the essence of 'Made in Italy,' Admiral is renowned for its unwavering commitment to quality, precision, and continuous refinement in design, production, and systems. Operating from a state-of-the-art facility, Admiral specializes in crafting both aluminum and steel yachts of up to 100 meters in length. The overarching philosophy shared by both Admiral and The Italian Sea Group revolves around delivering a luxury experience marked by uncompromising quality, meticulous attention to detail, innovative design, artistic craftsmanship, and tailor-made solutions.
Admiral's unwavering dedication to quality begins at the design phase and permeates every stage of yacht construction. The mantra, "The attention to detail at every step guarantees efficiency and quality," underscores the core ethos of the shipyard. Bolstering this commitment are over 25 interior designers within The Italian Sea Group's design team, working tirelessly to transform each owner's unique vision into reality using opulent and prestigious materials. Substantial investments have transformed Admiral into a world-class facility, setting new industry standards.
Admiral Yachts embarked on its journey in the 1950s, commencing production of wooden motor yachts in Lavagna. Over the ensuing decades, both the Admiral brand and its model range experienced significant expansion throughout the 60s and 70s. The launch of the first 30-meter Admiral yacht in the early 70s marked a pivotal moment. In the late 70s, the Cantieri Navali Lavagna began fabricating full aluminum yachts, catalyzing Admiral's evolution. Today, Admiral's fleet spans up to 100 meters in length.
Admiral has always been synonymous with Italian style and sportiness. In 2009, Admiral Yachts joined forces with The Italian Sea Group, alongside Tecnomar, ushering in a new era. The shipyard shifted its historical facility from Lavagna to Marina di Carrara, where it now specializes in constructing semi-custom and full-custom motor yachts with steel and aluminum hulls. Admiral offers a wide model range, enabling buyers to select from diverse hull configurations, ranging from fast to long-range to high volume, including planing, semi-displacement, or full displacement. The shipyard's current size range for motor yachts spans from 37 to 100 meters.
The Italian Sea Group's acquisition of Admiral breathed new life into this iconic Italian shipyard. Admiral's rebranding journey commenced with the launch of fresh and larger models, including Regale, C-Force, Impero, Maxima, Momentum, and S-Force model lines. A milestone moment in this era was the unveiling of the 40-meter Giraud (formerly Cacos V) in 2013, marking the debut yacht of The Italian Sea Group era. Subsequent launches included the 50-meter Ouranos and the 38-meter Safe Haven (formerly Nono). Admiral also ventured into building a 73-meter explorer yacht, which was successfully completed in 2017 under the moniker Planet Nine. In 2020, Admiral achieved another significant milestone with the launch of the 55-meter S-Force Geco (originally known as Project Piuma), setting a new benchmark in the yachting industry. In late 2021, Admiral further pushed the boundaries of innovative exterior design with the unveiling of the 75-meter Kenshō.
Admiral Yachts boasts a distinctive exterior style, largely shaped by renowned Italian designers Luca Dini and Paolo Caliari. The enduring collaboration between Admiral and Luca Dini continues to yield striking designs for Admiral's latest ranges.
New build projects at the Marina di Carrara facility typically range from 55 to 100 meters, involving the expertise of international designers. Notable collaborations include Winch Design for the 100 Project Titanium, Sinot Yacht for Project Blue Marlin, Azure Yacht Design for Kenshō, Tim Heywood for Planet Nine, and contributions from esteemed names like Giorgio Armani, Vitruvius, and Gian Marco Companino Design for Geco.
Admiral's strong partnership with IYC ensures that prospective clients receive expert advice on the Admiral model range and fleet, further enhancing the shipyard's reputation as a leading force in luxury yacht construction.
