Description

Lady Emma is a unique piece of yachting history.  She is the only steel-hulled motor yacht under 25m to have been built by the legendary Camper & Nicholsons shipyard in Gosport, and still be in full operation. She boasts a timeless Charles E.Nicholson design which embodies the glamour and styling of her era; the roaring twenties and the birth of art deco.

Launched as ‘Albany’ in 1930, this classic yacht is believed to be the forerunner and inspiration for another C. E. Nicholson yacht, built by the same shipyard six years late; the historic Pacha III.  Lady Emma has changed hands only a few times in her 90-year history.  The yacht was christened Lady Emma in the mid 80s and she’s been owned by the same family for over 30 years.  Originally finished with a white hull and featuring a canoe stern, Lady Emma was repainted in blue and has been meticulously maintained, hauled-out every winter.

Lady Emma is in faultless condition both inside and out.  No expense has been spared on her upkeep and recent refit works included brand-new teak decks.

The interior finish features wood panelling with lighter painted features in the cabins.  There’s also a smart and well-equipped galley.

The accommodation is for up to eight guests in four en-suite cabins of both double and twin configuration.  Lady Emma also has an additional cabin for a crew member.

On deck, she has space to dine and there is seating both fore and aft with optional shade.

Lady Emma cruises at 8 knots and with her two spotless Gardner engines has a fuel consumption of just 24 litres per hour.
